An educator who understands schools from the inside.
More than 25 years of international teaching experience — now coaching the cultures that shape achievement.

Dwight Maxwell is an educator, author, and culture transformation coach with more than 25 years of international education experience across the United States and United Kingdom. He is not an outside consultant who arrives with a slide deck — he is an educator-practitioner who has lived inside classrooms, led learning, and seen firsthand how culture determines what young people believe is possible.
His expertise spans English, literacy, literature, linguistics, research, creative writing, curriculum, culturally responsive pedagogy, and school culture. Across two national systems and diverse student populations, he has watched capable students underperform — not for lack of ability, but because the culture around them sent mixed messages about expectations, identity, and belonging.
That experience shapes his coaching. His philosophy connects identity, culture, literacy, expectations, belonging, and achievement into a single, practical system — the CULTURE Framework — that helps schools, families, and organizations build the conditions in which young people develop responsibility, self-discipline, respect, and the habits to succeed.
He is the author of It's Not Just About Grades; It's About Culture — the philosophical foundation of Culture Transforms Coaching.
"Academic achievement does not happen in a cultural vacuum. When identity, expectations, relationships, literacy, environment, and adult consistency improve, we create stronger conditions for young people to succeed."
